The Celebration of Life will be held at Oak Glenn Winery in Hermann on Friday, June 10 at 6 PM. This event is open to the public; it’s the time when the community gathers to celebrate those who survived and to mourn those who have lost their lives to cancer. 

The evening will begin, rain or shine, with the VFW Color Guard presentation of the colors, followed by the Invocation and the singing of the National Anthem.  A meal consisting of chicken, pork, green beans, baked beans, and potatoes with a choice of desserts will follow.  A live auction will have hand-made quilts, a gun safe, a wine basket, homemade cinnamon rolls, prize-winning pies, etc.  A silent auction will also be held. A gun raffle will spark your interest. A raffle will also be held for a special prize announced later.  Hermann-famous, homemade ice cream will be available for your cravings. The Celebration will also include the candle ceremony—the reading of names of survivors and those who have lost the battle against cancer. Everyone is welcome to come and enjoy the evening and experience the Crusade.
